Mercedes Roadside Assistance is a program that gives drivers 24/7 access to help in certain situations. It is available by phone or the Mercedes me app. Read our article to learn what Mercedes Roadside Assistance covers and how to contact them in the event of an emergency.

What Does Mercedes Roadside Assist Cover?

Vehicle Towing

In the event of a breakdown, Mercedes Roadside Assistance will offer a tow to the nearest certified dealer at no charge. In addition, if  you were in an accident and your vehicle was damaged, a Mercedes Benz Collision Center will begin repairing your vehicle immediately.

Trip Interruption

“Trip Interruption” is a feature of Mercedes Roadside Assistance that reimburses you up to a certain amount for food and accommodations in the following circumstances:

  • Your car broke down 100 miles or more away from home
  • Your car broke down while still under warranty
  • You vehicle will need to be kept overnight for repairs

On-Site Repairs

Mercedes’ Roadside Assistance provides on-site “soft services” when available. This includes changing a flat tire, filling up an empty gas tank, jump starting a dead battery, and lockout assist. Should your vehicle require more than simple on-site tasks, your technician will help you get the car to the appropriate facility.

Who is Eligible for Mercedes Roadside Assistance?

Soft services are available at no charge to anyone who has an active Mercedes Benz vehicle warranty. This includes a new vehicle limited warranty, extended limited warranty, and certified pre owned warranty.

Towing is available to all Mercedes Benz drivers, whether or not the vehicle is under warranty. However, the vehicle must be towed to the nearest licensed Mercedes Benz dealer and any needed repairs must be completed by that dealership. If the driver elects to take the car elsewhere, the dealership has the right to charge for the cost of the tow.

If desired, complementary towing is also available to a Mercedes Benz dealership up to twenty miles from the nearest location.

Are there any Roadside Assist Restrictions with Mercedes?

Yes. Under rare circumstances, Mercedes roadside assist may be unavailable to you or you may incur additional charges. For example, if you are in a parking garage with a low ceiling, towing may not be available. Likewise, if the weather is especially bad or the road is restricted, a technician may not be able to come. If you are in an area that is not easily accessible, such as an off road situation, a technician may still be able to reach you, but you may be charged a fee.
