Different Trim options on the 2022 C-Class

Set to hit dealerships in early 2022, the new Mercedes-Benz C-class model lineup currently includes the C 300 Sedan and its all-wheel-drive counterpart, the C 300 4MATIC Sedan. It is expected that Mercedes will eventually add convertible and coupe models to the C-Class; however, the sedan will be the only available model at launch in Spring 2022, with AMG models set to follow the sedan.

While comparable in appearance to its 2021 predecessor, the 2022 C 300 boasts an entirely new design that ups the luxury (and the price), making it less an entry-level Mercedes and more of a baby sibling to the upmarket S-Class sedan

What’s New for the 2022 C-Class?

If Mercedes were a Fairy Godmother, then the new C-class would be Cinderella (and not just because it starts with “C”). Just about everything has been upgraded, streamlined, and re-designed in the 2022 C-Class.

Style-wise, the new C-class has a lot in common with the S-class. While smaller than the S-class, the 2022 C-class comes with a wider wheelbase designed to give more rear-seat legroom, and an overall increased vehicle length of 2.5” compared to the outgoing model.

Interior of the New C300

The interior of the C-class has been given the biggest makeover, featuring the latest tech and luxury details. Sunroof, heated front seats with memory, digital gauge display, wood trim, and aluminum accents all come standard, regardless of trim level.

C-Class Sedan Driving and Performance

Mercedes-Benz is on a mission to electrify its fleet, and the 2022 C-Class is no exception. The 255 hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine gets an overhaul in the form of mild hybrid technology. The 48-volt hybrid system gives it a 20 hp surge (though only for short periods). Torque also gets a boost from the hybrid tech, increasing to 295 lb-ft compared to 273 lb-ft in the older model.

What Are the Trim Levels for the 2022 C-Class?

Previously, Mercedes-Benz allowed consumers to select options individually. The 2022 C-class, however, will be available in three distinct trim levels: Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle. This allows consumers to easily see the menu of features compared to price, with certain features still available a la carte. Many features come standard to every level of trim, but here are the breakdowns for each level:

Premium Trim (And Standard with All Levels)

Starts at $44,600 and includes:

  • 11.9-inch MBUX touchscreen infotainment system
  • Active Brake Assist
  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Heated front seats with memory
  • Sunroof
  • Open-pore wood trim
  • Aluminum accents
  • 18-inch wheels

Exclusive Trim

Starts at $46,850 and includes:

  • All Premium Trim features
  • Park-assist
  • Ambient lighting
  • Wireless smartphone integrated charger
  • Burmester 3D Surround Sound System

Pinnacle Trim

Starts at $48,550 and includes:

  • All Premium and Exclusive Trim features
  • Augmented reality heads-up display
  • Navigation system

Additional options available regardless of trim include 4MATIC all-wheel-drive, heated steering wheel, panoramic roof, and ventilated seats. With certain options available outside of the trim packages, consumers are still free to configure their vehicles to their personal specifications.
