The all-new 2024 Mercedes Benz GLA is set to arrive at US dealerships later this year. The compact SUV has been enhanced inside and out, with new tech and luxury features now standard. Read on to learn what’s new for the 2023 Mercedes Benz GLA Class.
Exterior Re-Styling for the 2024 GLA
Changes to the exterior of Mercedes’ GLA class include a new radiator grille and the brand’s latest LED light signature. The hood has been subtly sculpted power domes to give the car a little more muscle. There are now three wheel sizes to choose from: 18”, 19”, and 20,” and Starling Blue Metallic paint has been added as a color option.
Interior Updates for GLA 250
The most significant difference to the interior of the new GLA 250 is the presence of a free-standing double screen. One 10.25” screen acts as the driver display, and the other is the central multimedia display. This more intuitive system comes standard in the new GLA 250 and 250 4MATIC.
The new central display will, of course, include the latest generation of MBUX AI learning software, whereby drivers can control various vehicle functions using voice commands. Drivers can now choose from three display styles: Classic, Sporty, and Discreet. Classic displays relevant driver info, Sporty shows the tachometer, and Discreet shows only essential information.
A Nappa leather steering wheel is also now standard, as are Mercedes’ more advanced safety and performance systems, including Highbeam Assist, the Parking package, Keyless GO, and the Mirror package.
Connectivity has been improved in the new 2024 GLA SUV with an additional USB-C port, and all ports are illuminated for convenience.
The optional Burmester Sound System has been enhanced with Dolby AtmosⓇ, an acoustic system designed to adapt playback for a studio-like sound experience.
Performance Updates for Mercedes GLA Class
The 2024 GLA starter generator is now supplemented with a 48-volt on-board power supply, boosting the horsepower to 221. Mild hybrid drive lets you recuperate energy while braking and accelerating.
How Much Will the 2024 GLA SUV Cost?
The starting price of the 2024 Mercedes Benz GLA is $37,500; the GLA 250 4MATIC starts at $39,500. This appears to maintain the price points of the 2023 models.
