Pros of Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The Mercedes-Benz C class is a great small luxury vehicle with a sleek design, powerful engine, and state-of-the-art technology. The standard C300 is available in coupe, sedan, and convertible form. Whatever style you choose, you will be purchasing a car that is reliable, comfortable, and cutting edge.

Interior

The interior design of the C-Class models is exceptional, with all the style and comfort you’d expect from Mercedes. All 2021 models now come standard with heated front seats and a 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster. Additional options for ambient lighting, leather seats, and wood paneling further enhance the luxurious driving experience.

Engine

The C-class is no joke when it comes to power and handling. C300 models feature a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder powered engine that gets 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. A 4matic option will get you up to 60 miles per hour in about 5 seconds.

Despite all that power, the engine is quiet and the ride is very smooth.

Gas Mileage

Standard C-class Mercedes models get a respectable 24 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. 4Matic is comparable, with 23 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.

Technology

C-Class vehicles come standard with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, bluetooth phone, streaming audio, and Android smartphone integration. There is a 5-speaker surround sound system and HD radio, as well as dual USB ports for charging.

Upgrades are available for an integrated navigation system and a larger, 10.3 inch touchscreen.

Safety

The C-Class was named a Top Safety Pick + by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, earning a “Good” in all crashworthiness tests. Auto-emergency braking comes standard, with options for lane assist, blind spot monitor, and adaptive cruise control.

Cons of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class

There are very few drawbacks to the C-Class. It is a great option for an entry-level luxury car that strikes a balance between sporty and soft.

The only potential drawback is, perhaps, the size. The Mercedes C300 has 13 cubic feet of trunk space, which is less compared to competitors like the BMW-3 series. The passenger area is also fairly snug, especially in the coupe version.
