Since the 170 V established the E-Class bloodline in 1947, more then 10 million of its descendants have taken to the road making the E-Class far and away the worlds most successful line of luxury sedans. From the seemingly limitless endurance of the 1950s "Ponton" body, to the 1980s-era 300E described by Automobile Magazine as "true greatness", the E-Class has long defined not just what other vehicles should be, but what they will one day become. And today, that tradition lives on in the all-new 2010 E-Class Sedan.

The 518hp E63 AMG

The new E63 AMG delivers monumental performance and handling with the bold style of the all-new E-Class. At the heart of the E63 AMG lies a hand-built 6.3 liter V8 that produces a staggering 518 horsepower and 465 lb-ft torque, harnessed by the advanced AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission that can shift between each of its 7 gears in as little as 100 milliseconds. Extraordinary agility comes courtesy of a new adaptive AMG sport suspension system. And as for stopping power, the AMG Performance Braking System delivers, with help from ventilated and perorated rotors at all four corners.

While its performance alone makes hear-turning a certainty, the E63 AMG possesses unique styling that makes its appearance stunning at any speed. From AMG aerodynamic sport body styling on the front fascia and fenders, side skirts, trunk lid and rear bumper, to AMG-exclusive 18-inch 5-spoke light alloy wheels, the E63 AMG stands as perhaps the strongest expression yet of an E-Class AMG.
